

The "Heartstopper Forever" movie starring Kit Connor and Joe Locke will bring the LGBTQ+ young adult series to a close on Netflix in July.

April 22 (UPI) -- Netflix has announced a release date for the Heartstopper movie.
Heartstopper Forever, the film that will bring the popular LGBTQ+ young adult series to a close, will start streaming July 17.
The movie continues the story of Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke), high school sweethearts who face their "biggest challenge yet" as they begin a long distance relationship when Nick leaves for university.
Netflix shared a photo of the cast alongside the release date. Other returning stars include William Gao, Yasmin Finney and Tobie Donovan.
Heartstopper Forever wrapped filming in July 2025.
The TV series is based on the Alice Oseman graphic novel and ran for three seasons on Netflix.
