April 6 (UPI) -- Late professional wrestling icon Hulk Hogan discusses his life and career during his final interview in the new trailer for Netflix's upcoming docuseries, Hulk Hogan: Real American.

"In wrestling you should be remembered from all the wars you've been in. Some people hate me, but after I'm gone, I think people don't know the truth. Who was this guy really?" Hogan says in the clip released on Monday.

Netflix promises in the trailer to showcase the true story behind Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, and features appearances from wrestling legends Jimmy Hart, Kevin Nash, Bret Hart and Hogan's ex-wife Linda Claridge.

"You really want me to tell the truth? Okay. I know where all the bodies are buried," Hogan says.

Hulk Hogan: Real American comes to Netflix on April 22. Netflix is currently the home of WWE's weekly Raw show in the United States and all of the company's other events internationally.

Hogan died at the age of 71 in July 2025. He is one of the biggest and most recognizable names in wrestling, helping WWE reach mainstream popularity in the 1980s. Hogan continued being involved in the wrestling business for decades after and notably helped then WWE rival WCW reach new heights in the 1990s with the creation of his Hollywood Hulk Hogan character and his group, the New World Order.

Hogan was also a controversial figure, being fired by WWE in 2015 after he was heard using racial slurs to describe his daughter Brooke's then beau in a 2012 sex tape. That sex tape was also at the center of Hogan's infamous lawsuit against Gawker Media, which shut the company down.

Hogan would later return to WWE in subsequent years but would occasionally get boos from the live audience. Hogan, before his passing, was a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump and made appearances at Republican rallies.
