For some, the start of football season beats Christmas. But during a big game, nobody wants to be stuck in the kitchen. Quick, easy snacks are the winning strategy to keep the focus on the field.

These mini pizzas are great for quick eating during the game. Slice bagels in half then bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes. Remove from oven and increase temperature to 450. Spread tomato sauce on the bagels, and then add cheese and pepperoni, or whatever toppings you’d like. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese melts.
Cut jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Mix up cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, salt and pepper, and spread the mixture into the jalapeño halves. Wrap with a slice of bacon, then bake at 400 for 35-40 minutes.

These small versions of the classic are easy to make before the game. Cut franks into thirds or use cocktail wieners. Unroll a tube of crescent roll dough and cut each dough triangle into thirds. Wrap the hot dog sections with the dough and place on a cookie sheet, then sprinkle dough with coarse salt or sesame seeds. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes.
