Brooklyn collective MSCHF and Mercedes-AMG teamed up for a wild furniture collection. Debuted during NYCxDesign Week 2025, the conceptual line reimagines auto parts into experimental home decor.

MSCHF and Mercedes-AMG pay homage to the radical design wave started during the 1960s counterculture movement. MSCHF is no stranger to creating art from the materials at hand, and in this case, the materials are Mercedes-AMG parts that were sourced directly from the manufacturers.

The exhibition, MSCHF x AMG: Not for Automotive Use, ran from May 14 - 17, 2025 at MSCHF’s Brooklyn studio. It marked the first time the art collective had opened its doors to the public.

Mundane car parts like seat belts, pedals and wheels were turned into multiple works of art that all had unique creation processes.

The collection also featured a collection of apparel that featured scans of AMG engine parts. This includes a fragrance in a tree-shaped bottle meant to pay homage to Affalterbach — the German hometown of AMG whose name translates to Apple Tree.
