Ahead of the KAI brand's second season, Kyrie and ANTA made expansions in the form of a lifestyle shoe and a sneaker made for the brand’s first signature athlete, Drederick Irving.

The first athlete to sign a signature deal under Kyrie’s brand was his father, Drederick Irving. Kyrie was born during his dad’s days as a professional basketball player for the Bulleen Boomers of the South East Australian Basketball League.

According to Kyrie himself, this shoe is Drederick’s brainchild. The Twin Flame colorway features design elements that are meaningful to him, but also that commemorate Elizabeth Irving — Kyrie’s late mother and one of his biggest inspirations.

Away from the basketball court over the past decade, more and more NBA players have discovered their own sense of personal style. Kyrie wore his new casual sneaker, the ANTA KAI Tribe, at various events throughout the year and ANTA plans to release a lineup of different color ways.

As the Chief Creative Officer of ANTA, Kyrie is helping ANTA grow its brand in the U.S. with his foray into lifestyle and fashion. Aside from his two signature sneakers and lifestyle shoe, Kyrie also unveiled the Héla collection — a new apparel line that takes inspiration from Kyrie’s personal style, as well as, his Sioux heritage.
